![]() ![]() Additionally, there was no forewarning that the water was going to be turned off for 3 hours on one of the days of our trip. It took 3 hours to resolve all of the above, despite booking directly through Paris' website and evidence of my hotel reservation. Check-in times were exorbitant, they gave us the wrong room (which was a downgrade from what I'd booked), then attempted to charge us a higher room rate than I had previously booked the room for. I've stayed at Paris once before, about 15 years ago, and it was wonderful. This is a classic bait-and-switch, and judging by the complete lack of interest in reviewing the veracity of our claim, it would appear that this is something that probably happens with great frequency: why honor an existing room reservation for adjoining rooms, when one can be sold off and profits can be doubled?… ![]() The parent company has failed to follow-up, after we raised the issue when we returned home two weeks ago. He did not even allow us a roll away bed, stating that would be a fire hazard (fair enough, I guess, there's not a lot of space in those rooms). No acknowledgment of the problem, even though the company was clearly wrong. The credit card has clearly confirmed the total package price and both rooms-see? right there! The evidence! Anthony cooly placed a phone call. Excuse me? How could that happen? Of course there was a credit card on file. He said the other room was dropped because there was not a credit on file for it. We waited to speak to a concierge, Anthony, and showed him the confirmation for two rooms, just as it appeared when my wife brought it up on her phone. One room was confirmed, the other was not. When we got there, we checked-in using the mobile kiosk. My wife booked adjoining rooms for us and the kids because of a two-for-one deal they advertised, and she received confirmation before our trip. ![]() My wife and I are Wyndham rewards members, and this is the first negative experience we've had, but it was very negative.
